Poetry Thursday - An Open Window

I am posting early….

The last week of Poetry Thursday…. is it a door slammed shut? Or, will it be a door left cracked open just a bit for us to wedge ourselves into the opening of opportunity? I suppose we will find out Friday…

But, for today, the window remains a possibility and their prompt was: an open window.

An Open Window

One mind

though, perhaps,
beautiful

though, perhaps,
open

could be
an open window
to opportunity

or

an excuse to
crawl out
to hide
in the humid air
that merely
reflects

and

fails to penetrate…

The second stanza kind of asks us to sit up and take notice.

Gautami, I’m glad it came across like that. Thank you.

Wisdom in few words. I like this post - it’s a reminder that there is another road, another route, another hope!

I’m so glad, Susan, you saw that in my poem.

“Fails to penetrate” is something I had not thought of. Thought provoking and well done.

Tammy, I am so happy you found it thought provoking. That means I did my job.
