That ends the Unconscious Mutterings meme. Why not play along next time, just look on Sunday for LunaniƱa’s list of ten new words.

I use the combined twenty words to write a poem or short story… To see where the words take me. Today they took me here:

Balance of Relation

Rita was a Smith,
not a Penchon or Jones or Andersen.
Her life was not lived as a comedy routine,
but as if each day
was another survival of the fittest challenge.
She and Hans were polar opposites
and as such attracted.

Idiots, or idiosos as Hanz called them,
laughed at her more than not.
His perception of Rita never swayed,
she would keep them afloat and
she thought of Hans as the joy sent from
heaven to brighten her day.

Her poetry varies from a reflection of him
to moroseness that infected their lives
(behind the scenes) when the fake attitude
of his mentor, the one Hans depended on for
his sanity, came forth.

It was in the simple relating
of a story
about a well and a child
that led to a
change in their life balance. This loss of
his mentor became more than merely a distraction for
a month or two,
it became always

always an excuse to fall into a depression
always a reason to gamble on lives,
theirs…

for the joy from Hanz was no longer
bright enough
to stand side by side
equal to Rita’s
survivalist games

and this new balance of nature
negated
former laws of attraction.

This is, as most of my posts, a rough draft, for life is, for the most part, a rough draft, in how we live our everyday lives… it is, though, our only draft….

Please, do not copy my words, or photos. Thank you.
