3WW - I want

3WW is the most fun of memes. Check out who else made three simple words into magic this week and then why not make your own magic? Run on off to 3WW at if you read ONLY ONE blog this year… and join the meme.

Wait, please, read mine first…

Three Words chosen by Bone this week:

Ambiguous
Nine
Slept

I am quite sure he chose them just for me, grin….

I Want

Ambiguous, smiguous
I want what I want when I want it

and I want nine hours of sleep now
and when I wake up I want newly painted walls
to greet me, dust gone, house sold,
cash in hand, the exact RV I dream of
parked in front, free of chemicals with
names I cannot pronounce,

Ambiguous, smiguous
I know what I want,
I slept on it
night after night,
thought about it
day after day

And lest you think I only want material,

material, smerial

I want this so he has to work less hard
in his next 57 years
and
to see the smile on our son’s face
that we are close by

because those are the ONLY two things

we do not have….

and they are far from material

and I know
how lucky I really am,

but having slept on it,

I want those two things,
not just for me, for him, or the other him,

but for all mankind…

Don’t copy, it does not become you… no, that’s not directed at you - or you –I know you wouldn’t copy, you write your own words!

OK, I couldn’t keep a tad of seriousness out of it, though I started more playful… I will try to catch up reading y’all’s later, for now, I have to start painting and cleaning, unless you want to send lots of cash to pay someone else… I mean, after all, some people love doing that stuff and would love to be paid to do it… (Joke, y’all, hang on to your money…)

Now, if I just had nine hours sleep refreshing me, the paint would go on less streaky — and perhaps land where it actually should….

Wonderful. I like the generous ending best of all.

Um, I beg to differ… those words were for my ease this week ;-)

This was so cute… ambiguous, smiguous… LOVED IT!

The first part, where you get into the little “householdy” details that you want cracked me up, but you brought it back around to end it very selflessly.

You started out as a Cinderella wannabe and turned to a happiness bringer! How fun was that? material - smerial, ambiguous - smiguous LOL And I’ll second your final line, as well!

I thought the part about not wanting it for material reasons was so sweet.

I too want nine hours of sleep. *sigh* I wish.

I enjoyed your poem and really brought it around with that non-material bit. =)

The time to do it is now. There is no ambiguity. :)

Oh, I bet you say that to all the guys :) Quite a lovely sentiment, Marcia, finished off with a nice wish for everyone.

smiguous (loved this word, made me think of my cat Smidget which, we call Smidgidous sometimes). Loved smerial as well. Thanks for sharing such a nice poem. Keep up the good work.

Hi Marcia! I hope the painting goes smoothly. I really like your poem and how you embrace the world in addition to you and your family — really beautiful.

My favorite so far today. I really like, and there’s nothing ambiguous at all about that statement!
