3WW - The Heady Aroma

September 26, 2007 | Filed Under 3WW, Poetry

3WW - I wait and wait for it, then forget about it… Y’all really must play along, too. Just wait patiently on Wednesday mornings for Bone to post three simple words for you to work magic with. Of course, sometimes they are not simple, but since he allows us free reign on whether poetry, sentences, fiction, etc., it becomes a bit easier..

The Heady Aroma

He caught the scent
of her
perfume
and ran home eager
to share the news

with
his
mom

he was,
after all,
only
ten.

How sweet this was. Learning a scent at that age is precious. Keep up the good work.

    Have a nice day.

Very cute, Marcia! I took it that it was the same perfume his mom wore, and that he was still at the age where no one was prettier than his mom.

Very nice. Who wore the perfume I wonder. Thanks for dropping by my blog.

I like how you made the POV unexpected. That gave the ending a cute twist.
