3WW - Your flock?

October 3, 2007 | Filed Under 3WW, Poetry

Bone, I love your words this week, because I didn’t have time to write and those words:

feather
misplaced
useless

caused the following thought about groups and friendships to be spit out of my brain in just seconds:

Your flock?

birds of a feather
are useless
if they are:

misplaced
mismatched
misunderstood
or otherwise misaligned
with your universe.

Now, I have to keep sorting and packing… be by later to read. Y’all check out everyone’s cool thoughts about those words. (Or hot, as the case may be.) Their links are found here.

You did it again - Love the message here and the hint of something under the top layer.

I can only hint at other layers, not actually find them myself, though, grin. Thanks, Susan.

So fun and so true! A great use of this week’s words. :)

Thanks, This Girl Remembers, it is true, we just don’t think much about it normally, I guess.

nice poem - this made me smile, and then it made me think! it also made me think of the song ‘birds of a feather’ by paul revere and the raiders, which i’m now listening to! lol.

Glad it made you smile, Greggo. The Raiders? Now, I’m curious.

Birds of a feather can easily be misaligned with the universe thus should stick together. But how?

    Loved it!

Piap, glad you loved it… how? with industrial velcro? No? I guess with perseverance, then.

Using velcro on birds would probably get you in trouble with PETA. Using it on people can be fun, under the right circumstances. I will not elaborate further.

    I enjoyed your poem.

No, need to elaborate, I do have an imagination, I think. Glad you enjoyed the poem, thank you, Herb.

I like the way you went with this poem… they really are useless then, aren’t they?

P.S. Glad someone liked the words this week 8-)

TC, you fit them in quite well for not liking them, but yeah, I liked them this week.

Bone, thinking is a good thing, thank you.

I enjoyed your take on 3WW and the connection you made with birds of a feather to groups/friendships. Keep up the good work.

My 3WW is posted now if you would like to read it.
