3WW - Climate

October 10, 2007 | Filed Under 3WW, Poetry

Bone chose great words this week… I forgot to do it, trying NOT to blog today, realized what day it was, saw these three words: Initial - Knock - Weather. Thank goodness, something came out! Now, I have to continue working, our departure date is approaching faster than we are getting ready. I will try to catch up on reading on the road next week. Already skipped one prompt this week, couldn’t not do another one.

Check out the other participants… it is no telling what they came up with this week, for that matter, it never is! Three Word Wednesday.

Climate

Her initial reaction was to turn away
without as much as a knock
when she realized he was home,

but the door opened,
she leaped,

wrapping her legs around his waist,
then saw her

… dressed to seduce…

weather changed from sunshine
to drenching rain.

The beginning was so personally familiar–and then the twist at the end–left me unsure whether the first feeling was the right one or not.

    :(

Very sad. Makes me want to cry for her.

P.S. Sorry I didn’t get to this sooner: I didn’t get mine posted until tonight and I typically don’t read any other’s until I post mine :)
