Mind’s Eye
Mee, myself and I, find
Muse uncompromising,
metamorphosing mere
meteorology:
mundane clouds fascinate
moon tide leaves puddled tears
majestic mountains crash.

Jack and Jill bore of rats

Jack and Jill was popular last week, and therefore in my head…
Boredom
Jack and Jill
were popular cats
until they chased each other
instead of the rats.
The moaning started
and windows slammed shut
and doors were opened
and someone dared call Jill
a slut.
The moaning continued
twice as loud,
as Jack tried hard
– not to laugh –
as he continued to
rat-a-tat-tat.
