Good old Bone. Thank you for these words! More fun than usual! Now, ya’ll, many people take advantage of his word choice for Three Word Wednesday. Write something yourself with these three words and then hop on over and check out what sentences, poetry, stories, essays, others came up with. You will laugh or cry or shake your head — in understanding.
Approach — bottle — smooth
Hopscotching Through Life
Approach used:
drown himself in Scotch,
Chivas Regal,
Dewars,
Cutty Sark,
mattered not really,
after the first bottle,
it was all smooth
trouble was
he didn’t
sail through life
any easier,
for a moment, perhaps,
but that last credit card
was approaching its
many times extended limit.
Have you priced Scotch lately?

Oh very nice. The literal cost of alcoholism weighed with the figurative. Good choice!

Laughing. Love that title! I knew those brands, up close and personal and add a few. Had almost forgotten, now I’ll have to reminisce a little bit. Answer: No.
Yes, I price scotch about once a month. I like the last line… unexpected comic relief.
I especially like the title, hopscotching through life.
Ah, the Scotch..!
oh yeah…expensive stuff! Wonderful post…beautifully done.
very real
Don’t know how much one bottle costs, but this guy is paying with his life.
Ugh! I’ve always abhored hard licor, unless it had an umbrella and a cherry in it!
I agree with gautami, the title and the beginning lead us to a not so serious look at a stiff drink.
I like Rose’s comment!
I have to admit, the ending threw me. The last thing I was expecting after all that drinking was worry about the money, lol, though I guess it shouldn’t have come as a shock when I complain about how expensive it is to go out!
