3WW - Destination Unknown

Three Word Wednesday, a simple concept. Bone tosses three words at us, we do something creative with them. It is contagious. The number of people participating just keeps growing and growing.
Bridge - Disturbed - Still

Destination Unknown

Orange bridge arched
through white clouds anchored in blue skies

to join chilled sun in its assault
against winter’s cold

as life’s breeze
disturbed still water beneath secured hulls
to unearth resting dreams.

I struggled a bit with this one, mind must have been stuck in work mode…

I love the idea of not having a destination in mind at all. One of my favorite roadtrips was that way. We knew how long we could drive for, and just got in the car and went. It was fabulous. :)

Very lovely. I reread it several times. It brings to mind other photos I’ve seen of the bridge in my essay today. “Still water beneath secured hulls” is especially nice.

‘to unearth resting dreams’ fine line. Nice poem. Great imagery. I see the Golden Gate Bridge.

Loved the thought of a trip without a destination to unearth resting dreams. Think that’s so true–the mind needs new places to grow

I enjoyed your poem, Marcia. And loved the title. Bridges are very inspiring to me. They can be majestic and powerful or olden and quaint.
