3WW - Money Thoughts

Bone’s Three Word Wednesday words: Money - Tangled - Understood. Join us!
Gee, I guess it will be quite obvious where my head is today!
Money ThoughtsI stand tangled
in my thoughts, money is not everything
I am living proof,yet I understand
it is
a necessary
evil
to keep us off street’s
grime infiltrated ooze
created when man tosses
his wasted goods on
Florida sun torched asphaltI long
for snow (not ice)
for summer breezes that flit in
and out of evergreens (not palms)
to bring a refreshing shudder
where fleece forgot to cover parched skinbut I also smile toward the heavens as my
feet sink into still cooled sand
their motion in rhythm with water alternately
whispering and crashing with power I wish I hadwhen needed.
I shake my head with pride that I asked
the universe
that our house not sell
to someone that would not love it
continuallyand shake my head
in frustration
that I did not askthe universe
that our house just sell, then,
for the highest price,to whomever.
Some times we ask for too much,
some times too little…but we keep asking
and we keep tangling
and untangling
our thoughts, sometimes we get it right.

Oops, I kind of went off on tangents and back… but then that is my true mind… and these are usually rough drafts…. just like me.

Oh do I relate. I hedged by asking for somebody to love my apartment and to have the money. Still I think it might be too late
Not too late, Pia! I wish I had been as clever as you….
Oh, yes. Well-done. Isn’t that a fact - we tangle and untangle until something nearly works!
We have no other choice, Susan, but to sit there, lives not lead.
yes mee… sometimes we do get it right… and it is for that reason… we go on… money or not….
I see a thread here, paisley, we keep going on because we do get one thing right…
tangle and untangle in this momentary web weaved and broken for eternity…loved it.
Thank you, UL. I love your wording, “momentary web weaved and broken for eternity”!
The good news is, you’re not alone. The bad news is… you’re not alone.
pride and frustration often go hand in hand, don’t they?
I like this despite its meandering nature. (Or would it be MeeAndering here?)
Love the MeeAndering! Thanks, pjd, made me grin. And pride and frustration do go hand in hand. (I am lucky, it has only been since October - not years like some homes.)
I like the tone of this, I like where you were going, how you wandered off and came back — like you were talking/thinking/writing at the same time…I do this myself…
Sherry, I am happy you like the tone - and I am glad I am not the only one that wanders.
Marcia,
Having lived on both sides of that jungle I’ve learned that the money helps untangle life, while creating other, no less troubling, snarls.

I completely agree that other and equally troubling “snarls” equate with the money. It is finding that balance of just enough….
Love the thoughts on the house. They had me kinda chuckling.
And your last line was perfect. Sometimes we’re right, sometimes we’re not, and that’s OK. We’re human.
Chuckle away, Bones, even I see the humor in it, just my wallet doesn’t. We’re human, yeah, we are.
You really caught the money dilemma in this poem. I love the musings about your house and that “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” attitude. Very honest and universal!
It was honest, I wasn’t sure how universal, but I’m glad you confirmed it. Glad you liked the musings, Linda.
Sigh. You can have my snow, I’ll take your Florida sand please
(I was just there and didn’t want to come home to the blizzard we got.)
That said… I love the money being a necessary evil. That it is.
Money does buy trips to Florida - and Washington, Alaska, Mexico, etc… hmmm, where is the money?
Your trip appeared to be fun! We do have great sand down here.
Won’t join. I rent
I think we are renting from here on out, AnthonyNorth. Is there an AnthonySouth?
