Dare I? - Writers Island

Seattle skyline abstractedDare I?

Abstracted world
stands a bit askew
for
monoliths of strength
hide giants teetering
while
highlighted vision
foretells blaring obsession
as
ominous sky
grounds flight of fancy
for all
but those who dare….

    Marcia,
Staring at the buildings scrapping the sky, I see nature transformed by man into nature.
I’m drawn to the thousands of stories, each different, behind every window.

I love your phrase, Rel: “I see nature transformed by man into nature”! There is a poem there. I have not the patience y’all do to be drawn to thousands of hidden stories — I need them more in my face and fewer, I am manic enough on my own without all their stories leaping at me, grin.

being more of a country state of mind,, i have never lived or worked in a high rise… i think i would be filled with the same trepidation i am when in a house that has huge ominous trees looming over it…

for all but those who dare - has been a mantra I’ve loved for years…it fits so perfectly with the skyline and hovering clouds! Great!

Susan, I’m glad you found it fit! I have only learned to dare in recent years, such fun…well, except when it backfires on me.
