with everyone you meet, today, I am told.
Songs are poems and I have not been able to get this song, Falling Slowly, or this movie, Once, out of my head for weeks. I found this video of my favorite scene today. My inner poet, Ms. Muse, piped up, “Hey! This is your favorite poem, duh!! So what if it is a song. Now, post it.” And who argues with their muse?
This scene is just after she has written words for his song, and they try it out together at lunch in a music store. For me, this scene - the words and the music, the chemistry, the chosen location to express it, and the interaction as two creative people share — is the ultimate definition of poetry for it is: creation, connection, rhythm, thought, imagery, deep emotion, and words from which we cannot escape. This is a glimpse into the poetry of life:

What an amazing song and scene. You are right about it being the ultimate definition. I had never heard about the movie, so I am very glad you shared. I already put it on the top of my NetFlix queue.
