Poetry Tumbles Onward

I have added poems 19-23 to my Poetry Tumble Page. That is where the first line of the first poem was a line used with permission from another poet’s poem. (Revealed on Poetry Tumble Page!) Each poem thereafter begins with the last line of the previous poem. Occasionally one might relate to the one before, but definitely not all the time! I normally post each poem also within my blog posts, but as I am behind, I will merely post one here. To read them all in order written and therefore see the path followed – or to just jump around and read one or two, click here, please, Poetry Tumble. I have to tell you, it is quite hard to resist just writing nonstop until no more words flow. Thank goodness prompts and other responsibilities jump in.

21. Concrete to Shatter

which is concrete?
your heart or your mind?

I must know with no further delay,

for if it is your heart
I shall hammer away at it
with flowers and chocolates and words
meant to caress your skin

for if it is your mind
I shall first pound it
with strong waves of words
meant to smash your barrier

and then allow my words to lap gently
at the fringes of your soul
