War of Wars

May 5, 2008 | Filed Under Life balance, Poetry

It has become a war to end all wars,

Reading I have stopped
(only momentarily!)

All that I ignored
for it
has come back twice fold
or more

to haunt me…

And so, I must
return to
responsible adulthood
(only momentarily!)

for your words beckon me
your emotions entreat me

and intentionally, by you,
(or not)
they will not let responsibility
to all else maintain its hold.

I’ll be back reading y’all’s soon! I seem to be a person of extremes, so for a day or two more, I will TRY extreme cleaning and sorting and packing…

What’s the over/under on the Vegas spread Marcia? I’ve got my money on the reading rather than the cleaning.

Btw, we may come down for Memorial Day weekend.

I’ll have you know, Brian, I helped Leon clean yesterday! Wait, wait… Let me plug in the steamer. Hold on. OK, it’s plugged in. Oh, I was supposed to sweep or vacuum first, wasn’t I? Guess I better get a battery for the Roomba, ’cause I have enough noise pollution without a vacuum cleaner roaring. Besides, the Roomba doesn’t require following it around. GRIN.

We will either be here or St. Pete… not sure yet if those plans are a go.!
