war had long waged within:
arrows of self-worth repeatedly thrown against self-preservation’s iced cage at last had worn a hole to facilitate pride’s historical escape onto unsuspecting lips
and said secret smile of pride
dared to become public fodder,
dared to grow… until it splattered like sin

I am wired, I want to just sit and write one after the other after the other… Yes, my Poetry Tumble continues. I must stop myself for a while, but that last line is beckoning — but then so is the rest of my life, grin!
