To just be
all I can be
would be enough

but seeking what could be
demands I understand

what. should. have. been.

And does not that require
introspection?

And would not such

sabotage
Muse’s right to freedom
of expression?

and would not such

exhaust
my brain’s resources
of conscious thought?
