Woman Stifled

Woman Stifled

She dares not run too fast forward
nor leap back toward past

yet to remain in place
stifles.

She has not yet discovered
that walking forward
even while holding on
to what was

will free her.

But, she will,
for trial and error
are the professors of life
and her mind is a student.

  1. I’m trying to walk forward without holding onto my past and it’s wobbly ground at best. I hope to find balance one day soon. Have a great day.

Lots of pith here – nicely done – I love the strength and process of this writing.
