39. Me
today I will just be who I think I am
because tomorrow I may find…I am someone else
and if that proved true I would have missed the opportunity
to be someone else merely by not being who I think I am todayI walked in your shoes yesterday in my dreams
and though I walked quite well in yours
they were merely the ones you saved for show…not the ones you wore to get where you were
today I will just be who I think I am
because tonight I may dream the future meMeeAugraphie

Ongoing, though on no schedule, since June ‘07, my last line becomes first line of next poem. The relationship of one poem to next is not a requirement, nor preferred. To read all that came before in chronological order – and to see which line from whose poem inspired this Poetry Tumble, click on the Poetry Tumble page, or simply click here: Poetry Tumble, but you might want to come back when you have time, this is number 39.
This week’s poem is also offered for Poetry Train Revisited 10. Why not click the button below instead and jump on? The traveling is great!
