Bone, glad your dad is home and doing better! Now, to the other topic at hand: 3WW words: funny – remember – theatre.
And for me, since theatre consumed Leon’s life for fifteen years and I have quadzillions of funny stories and to remember, this should have been a comedic poem… but it is not. I chose to continue a theme I started with this poem: Mortared Life.
Theatre of WarIt is funny,
I think not,that some accept
the theatre of war
as other than a tragedythey look through blinders
counting casualties
- on the other side -
as victories rather than
the tragedies they areon their side
they award hearts of purple
and flags of patriotism
and stand ceremoniously
watching temporary faces
of tempered joy parade by
day after day,year after year
as if to remember
tragedy as mere drama
would change it
into something it was not.MeeAugraphie

Please, understand, I wish my words not to be misconstrued that people should not fight for causes they believe in; nor am I saying a soldier and his family should not be proud that they are out there fighting for freedom – as war is the way it is done and has been for centuries. I am merely asking that for some that control and brought forth these fights, they allow themselves to take to heart that war to remain a tragedy for all involved – for many times the opposite side is fighting for the same internal reasons. There has to be a better way — but no, I don’t know it, though I think if it were more personalized from the beginning, fewer innocents, both soldiers and civilians, would have their lives and those of their expanded universe destroyed.
Thank you for reading this.
