Sun and Moon in Competition

This morning Moon demanded attention – and these two haiku were tweeted:

Naked words streak night
sun rays bound by night’s shackles
moon plays demur role

~~~
Naked sun sulks as
horizon draws moon to bed
misses cue to rise
so, the phrase exhausted sun demanded airtime…
Hurricanes call strike
sun picks up slack in weather
overtime exhausts
~~~

Exhausted by sun
summer sought autumn’s embrace
night drew shades on day

~~~
Exhausting summer,
sun sought reprieve in autumn
’til Alaska called
~~~

Fall gets all glory
sun’s hours shortened in exchange
sun cut deal with fall

~~~
Autumn strikes deal
exhausted sun gets comp time
stars get top billing
and moon took control again
Sun’s workload lessened
in lieu of sabbatical
moonlight’s covert plan
